A Gift...

I had been noticing that every time we were shopping, Ayu would be looking to buy pens... ballpoint pens. I reckoned that it was because she kept losing her pen at work and the hotel didn't provide pens for staff or guests. In most cases as she related, her pen was 'hijacked' by guests. She also related how she would 'hijack' guests' pens back by asking if she could keep take their pen upon registration. I guess over the years, I have learnt to be a a rather good listener.... so I can remember most of what she relates to me.

Today she came home with a box in her hands and looking at it I knew it was something expensive. A regular guest from Penang gave her a pen...a Mont Blanc Limited Edition MEISTERSTÜCK PLATINUM LINE HOMMAGE Á W.A MOZART pen. It's a twist mechanism ballpoint pen and this is the smallest pen I have ever held in my hands at 4.25 inches in length. At first we thought it may be one of many pens he had extra but upon inspection of the box the warranty card was stamped the 22nd at Penang Airport. Hmmm... a very expensive gift from a guest... USD288.00 or about RM905.00. I'd love to meet him... then I can thank him. He just saved me RM905.00... LOL.

She gets a fair bit of attention at work from the guests and I am not the least surprised. She has a story everyday on how guests compliments her... she gets phone numbers, e-mail addresses, Facebook add requests and whatnot. I'm okay with it bit I am sure if the roles were  reversed, hell would break loose. LOL. Hmmm... if she got more gift that would mean I would save even more money. Cool! LOL

If only someone would be as kind to me.
