The Journey Begins...

It's unbelievable... the amount of shit one can accumulate over 13 months. I did a shit-load of packing yesterday and early today. I threw away a lot of things and I gave away a van full of things... that excludes a sofa set and TV console I bought from Cavenzi last year which I gave away last Sunday. I barely managed to fit all my things into the car. I had to literally stuff it in... push everything into every little crevice that there was left whilst making sure I left a small 'window' so I still had a clear view of the back through the rear-view mirror.

My body is starting to ache as I moved most of the things to the car last night. A sign that I am in dire need of exercise... it is obvious that sexercise alone will not suffice... of course it may be a function of age too but you know damn well I won't acknowledge it.

I sent the car to get the wheel balanced as it was vibrating between 100-110kph... this is the third time I am sending it in for the same issue. This time they did on-wheel and the guy told me that if it still persists then it is not the wheel but probably the axle (or something like thatlah). Anyway.... the problem was not fixed, sadly... it is not as bad I must say but it is still there. My attempts to fix my engine mount was in vain as the service centres did a merry-go-round with me. I tried 4 centres... first said they only did services... the second, had to do appointments first and they had 5 in line so I didn't want to wait... and the third and fourth, not enough manpower. On a positive note, it SEEMS that society is beginning to see the importance of regular services... and i certainly hope so.

The journey began at almost 4pm... it was THE scariest ride I have ever had on the highway. It rained elephants and MISS Natalies... oops... I meant hippotamuses all the way. Real scary shit... the rain that is... not the Natalies.... the Natalies would be classified as nightmare. But seriously, it was bad... real heavy rain all the way after Rawang. Visibility was down to just about 30 feet... and you can only do about 80kph. There were some heroes who though they were in control and found out otherwise. There was a Camry who crashed after Tapah... I missed seeing this live by probaby 1 minute... then there was a Beemer, a Z series that met the same fate.

My motorboat lived up to its name... the exhaust job seems to have brought an old problem back... a loss of power and also making your car sound like a tug boat when in contact with water... this was generic with all Carens when it first came to Malaysia and was fixed with some modification to the exhaust system back then. I guess I have to send it back for another fix. I arrived in Alor Setar after 9pm and I stayed at the Holiday Villa... RM230... for crap... serious. If they can get RM230 I'm sure you guys at the V can get RM280. I think you guys need to get the Sales team to travel and stay at other hotels more then they will be enlightened and can handle their customers better.

This is what I had just before I hit the sack... well, not just this... 4 of this and 1 Roti Sardin... 60sen o nasi lemak ni.. I think I would need at least 10 of these. Just plain nasi lemak with sambal with a sedih piece of fish. No other condiments. Better off eating at City Garden or is it City View... whatever lah... janji ada City, at Kampung Bahru.

That's all for today folks...
