I was in KL today... arrived late last night and got myself a room in the vicinity of my office. RM98 nett per night at Sun View Hotel. Dodgy but cheap and suits my needs which was just for some sleep and a shower and walking distance to the office.
This is the TV... just local channels full of snow... and the No Smoking sign on top which means that you're not allowed to smoke... I thinklah... but wait...
Here's the 'coffee making facility'... and look what else we have... it says No Smoking but if you must smoke then here is the ashtray... hmmm... and how do I make coffee? Hot water from the shower? I figured it out when I was on my way to McD... they had a hot and cold water dispenser in the corridor.
It was nice to be back in KL for awhile... Kak Siti was complaining that it was very hot in the afternoon... I walked out and told her... THIS is not hot... this is how Langkawi is at NIGHT during the first half of the year. My boss asked me how my room was... was it dodgy? I nodded... she then asked me to stay at a better place... I said it was ok... the proximity was important... and I told her very frankly... when I start making money for you then it will be a different story. For now I will rough it out with everything.
While waiting for my flight I noticed that the 'season' had begun again... and I guess we're going to have to put up with their antics for the next 6 months or so. In the plane... they're seated all over but they speak to each other as if it was their freaking house! Geesh! Then there's this dude... seems like just married... he gets up and goes to the front row which was empty and sleeps on that row, three seats... legs ON the seat... even if you wanted to I think it would only be appropriate to let the flight attendant know and not treat this plane and country as though it was YOUR freaking home! I really hate their superiority complex... which sad to say, most of them have. They have no respect for others... then they wonder why they are disliked... sigh...
