It was a very hot day... so I thought catching a movie would be a good idea. First I went for a haircut... and here you can botak your head for RM6. So... we now know that apart from booze, chocolates and cars... haircuts are cheap too... well, at least my kind of haircuts where any Dick, Tom and Thambirajah can do it.
Then we tried to catch the 5:00pm movie. A local movie but I went along because I think the lead actress is a cute hoochy-mama... it was 4:00pm then so I went over to the counter and asked for 2 tickets. I was told there were no takers for the 5:00pm show so he could not sell the tickets to me. He asked me to come back at 4:30pm to try. I was hungry so off I went for food. While I was eating Ayu and I thought... wait a minute... you must have a minimum number to run a movie but if you keep refusing to sell tickets, how will you ever achieve your minimum number? You should have a disclaimer stating your right to cancel a show if the the minimum is not met. Strange...
After food we went back... still no takers. What about the 7:00pm movie? Same fate... try again later. Geesh... Clash of the Titans was showing at 4:45pm so we decided to watch that first and then come out and see if there were takers for the 7:00pm movie. Clash of the Titans was so-so. I can't wait for Iron Man 2 though. After the movie we went to the counter again... hahahahaha... still no takers... you got to be joking I exclaimed. How about 9:00pm? Nope... only 11:00pm... and how many tickets have you sold for 11:00pm? FOUR!!! This is a real joke... So I ask... what's the minimum to run a movie? FOUR... it wa sthen that i saw the disclaimer... laminated and stuck on the counter that the management reserves the right to cancel a movie and refund the amount or reschedule if the number is less than 6...
So... coming back to my thoughts... why refuse to sell tickets when you have the disclaimer? How can you achieve your minimum if you keep refusing to sell? Sigh... but I can guarantee you this... come 30th April, I will buy 6 tickets if that is what it takes for me to see Iron Man 2 with Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.
LOL!! Love that determination of yours... 6 tickets it is!!
